Biography
Louise Jelinek was born around 1870-1872 in Nebraska to Josef Jelinek and Anna Kozlovsky. Her family was part of the major wave of Czech (Bohemian) immigration to Saline County, Nebraska between 1865 and 1880. The Jelinek family settled around Crete, Nebraska, where Josef was a pioneer farmer.
Louise married William John Warnke in 1892 in Nebraska. The Warnke family were also Saline County residents (German immigrants), and both families attended Riverside Cemetery in Crete. Louise and William had three daughters.
The couple relocated to Missouri, appearing in the 1910 census there. By 1940 they were living at 223 East Big Bend Road, Webster Groves, St. Louis County.
