Biography
Sophia Kuchenmeister was born in 1835 in Germany. She married John Warnke, a fellow German immigrant from Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The couple lived in St. Louis, Missouri in the late 1850s and 1860s before relocating to Saline County, Nebraska.
After John's death in 1898, Sophia remained in Crete, Nebraska, where she died in 1922. She is buried alongside John at Riverside Cemetery.
