Parentage: Resolved

Father: George Farrar III (1752-1819), not Alexander Farrar. WikiTree Farrar-304 and FaG #25783656 both confirm George Farrar III as Sarah's father. Elizabeth Boyd of Monkton, Ayrshire, Scotland was her mother (m. 22 Aug 1783).

The earlier confusion arose from the 1845 Mecklenburg County chancery case (1845-023), which states "Sally Vaughan was a legatee" of Alexander Farrar's estate. Alexander Farrar was a relative (likely brother or uncle of George III), not Sarah's father. A separate case (1824-102) shows "Elizabeth Farrar vs. Executor of George Farrar," which is Elizabeth Boyd suing over her husband George III's estate after his 1819 death.

George Farrar III's parents: George Farrar Jr. (~1720-~1761) and Diana Hillsman (~1713-~1766). George Farrar Jr.'s father was the earlier George Farrar (1692-1772) who married Judith Jefferson (1698-1786).

Farrar Lineage (Colonial Virginia)

The Farrar line extends deep into early colonial Virginia:
