Biography
Roy Wallace Vaughan was born January 31, 1901, in Jackson County, Missouri, the son of Walter M. Vaughan and Hettie Adeline Kirby. He married Frances Blanche Jones on July 2, 1921, in Ottawa, Kansas, and they had one daughter, Doris.
Roy worked for the Missouri Highway Department for 25 years, retiring in 1956, and served as a foreman at North American Aviation during World War II. He was buried at Salem Cemetery in Independence, Missouri.
